I am a paradox. Lost and guiding the way. Funny but never smiling. Caring but always alone.
Posting: stuff I write, photos I take, stuff I find tragic, stuff I find sexy and general nerdom.

  • Draw. Go.
  • In response, Counterspell
  • It has Flying. You can’t block it.
  • It’s unblockable. Just plain unblockable.
  • I draw my deck out and cast everything.
  • No, you can’t have that.
  • Actually, I’ll take control of that. Forever.
  • Yeah, that goes through.
  • Mmm, bounce that.
  • Before you declare…
He punched a BEAR!

Would anyone else be on board with a law that would force foreign-owned companies to make sure all it’s domestically employed employees are above the poverty line?

The Google trend for the search query “quadratic formula”.
It repeats in the same pattern every year. Down in summer, up in September, down again in December and up again in spring time before going down again in the summer. And so it goes on forever.

I was curious if this phenomenon would apply to other academic topics as well. This is the graph for searches of “Marbury v. Madison,” the 1803 Supreme Court case regarding the practice of judicial review.

It peaks in October, when the concept would be first taught in American history courses, spikes again in January in time for first semester finals, then a smaller spike in April/May in preparation for the AP test. (Before plummeting in the summer.) Interesting.
Judging by the extra-large May spike in 2012, I would guess that the court case figured into one of that year’s DBQs.
